We are KINSLEY
The musical journey of Christopher Neil Adkins and Adam Young Staley began in elementary school. An atypical friendship developed over the two’s love of heavy music and it wasn’t long before the two wrote their first song (a charming little ditty called “Headache” in the same vain as Nirvana). Flash forward twenty years and the duo have returned to create music that encapsulates all their influences. From Christopher, the knowledge of the classical guitar (he received his Doctorate of the Musical Arts from Florida State University) combined with the love of all types of heavy guitar music. From Adam, experienced drumming in the North Carolina music scene (drumming in bands such as Idea of Beauty, Sinister Archetype, Eno Mountain Boys, and City of Medicine). With no parameters set, Kinsley is born.

06/16/2017:
STUDIO UPDATE- Almost all of the guitars have been tracked and Chris is going to start vocals next week. We will be adding a lot of electronic "textures" after the vocals are done and then begin the mixing process! We have begun writing for the third album and are we are super stoked at some of the ideas that we have been working on. Thanks to anyone that has taken the time to read this! Also, all of the pre-production for our next record has come out nicely and we are happy to announce that we will be headed to Warrior Sound again on April 20th to start tracking "for real" for our next album. We are very excited!

Happy New Year to everyone! We wanted to let you know that we are starting demo recordings for our second full length album entitled "II" this week. We are scheduled to go back in with our buddy Al Jacob at Warrior Sound this Spring and will be recording at least 10 new tracks! We are also planning to have some new videos up on YouTube in the next couple of months and will most likely begin to play live later on this year. We are looking forward to a great 2017! We are excited to announce that we have released our debut album "I" on all major digital media outlets. The album was written, recorded, and mixed by Kinsley and our good friend Al Jacob at Warrior Sound in Chapel Hill, NC in June and July of 2016. Mastering was done at The Basement Recording Studio in Winston-Salem, NC by Jamie King in July of 2016.
